This photograph captures the essence of beauty of old Florida, and the South. Like a canopy of lace, spanish moss hangs thick, from an old live oak tree. Even though I live in Florida and see these beautiful trees daily, standing under this aged oak with her heavy veil of moss was a breathtaking sight. I had to photograph this scene, to try to portray the beauty of nature's canopy. This was indeed a refreshing spot on this hot August day in the North Florida woods.

Thanks for visiting my site. From my first little plastic box camera purchased at an auction for $1, to the first Nikon acquired in the mid-1970s, I have always had a camera and a passion for creating images. Early formal photographic education came during high school, where for two years, two hours a day, I had the opportunity to learn under the German master who taught us photographic technique, darkroom processes, and graphic design and communication. From this point, my parents let me set up a little darkroom in the basement of our small home in Ocala, Florida.
